The Commission is proud to announce Dr Chinmay Pandya, Dr Beth Singler, and Dr Nathan Mladin as the new members of our Associates Programme. The programme aims to create a collaborative community of individuals and organisations interested in the intersection of AI, faith, and civil society.

On 9 July, AIFCS Commission director Samuel Coates attended the Future of Britain Conference 2024 – hosted by the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and My Life My Say – where attendees and presenters explored governing in the age of AI.

The main parties’ manifestos are now out, and while artificial intelligence has been largely absent from the current election discourse, nearly all of them mention AI in their manifestos.

On 1 August 2024, the European Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) enters into force. The Act aims to foster responsible artificial intelligence development and deployment in the EU.
